Armenia 3rd President follows Armenian chess tournaments

Third President of Armenia, President of the Armenian Chess Federation Serzh Sargsyan today visited the Tigran Petrosyan Home of Chess where the 80^th Armenian men’s chess tournament and the 75^th Armenian women’s chess tournament kicked off on January 12, reports the press service of the Armenian Chess Federation.

Serzh Sargsyan followed the tournaments that will end on January 20.

The Armenian men’s and women’s championships are taking place in 9 stages, and 9 of the 10 participants of the men’s chess tournament are chess grandmasters.

There are also 10 women chess players participating in the women’s tournament, including 2 grandmasters, 2 international masters and 2 FIDE masters. Armenia’s champions will join the national teams.
