At the World Weightlifting Championships, Simon Martirosyan (109 kg) won the gold medal.
Hakob Mkrtchyan - world champion
At the World Weightlifting Championships, Hakob Mkrtchyan (89 kg) became the champion.
Artur Aleksanyan - World Championship silver medalist
Artur Aleksanyan and the Greco-Roman wrestling team of Armenia decided to abandon the final fight in the 97 kg weight category amid an injury.
Gor Minasyan - vice world champion
At the World Championships, Gor Minasyan (+109 kg) became vice champion.
Ruben Aleksanyan - World Championship bronze medalist
Ruben Aleksanyan took third place with 437 kg (192 + 245).
Hovhannes Bachkov - World Championship bronze medalist
European champion Hovhannes Bachkov became the bronze medalist of the world championship in the 63 kg weight category.
Slavik Galstyan - World Championship bronze medalist
Slavik Galstyan took third place in the world championship in the 63 kg weight category.
Arsen Harutyunyan - European Champion
Arsen Harutyunyan won the European title in the 61 kg weight category.
Simon Martirosyan - two-time European champion
Simon Martirosyan won the gold medal at the European Weightlifting Championships in the 109 kg weight category.
Hakob Mkrtchyan - European Champion
Hakob Mkrtchyan (89 kg) won the gold medal of the European Weightlifting Championship. He gained 371 kg in biathlon.
Hovhannes Bachkov - two-time European champion
Hovhannes Bachkov won first place in the 64 kg weight category.
Arthur Hovhannisyan - European Champion
Arthur Hovhannisyan won a gold medal in the 49 kg weight category.
Gabriel Sargsyan - European Champion in Rapid Chess
Gabriel Sargsyan won the European Rapid Chess Championship in Estonia.

Zaven Andriasyan - European vice-champion in blitz chess
Ruben Aleksanyan - European Championship bronze medalist (weightlifting)
Vahagn Davtyan - bronze medalist of the European Championship (gymnastics)
Karen Aslanyan - bronze medalist of the European Championship (wrestling)
Gor Nersesyan - European Championship bronze medalist (boxing)
Karen Tonakanyan - European Championship bronze medalist (boxing)
At the second European Games, Armenia won 11 medals - 5 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze, taking 11th place in the overall standings.
Boxers Arthur Hovhannesyan (49 kg) and Hovhannes Bachkov (64 kg), Greco-Roman wrestler Artur Aleksanyan (97 kg), gymnast Artur Davtyan and sambo wrestler Tigran Kirakosyan (52 kg) won gold medals.
David Grigoryan (82 kg), gymnast Vahagn Davtyan (rings) and Greco-Roman style wrestler Karapet Chalyan (77 kg) won silver medals
Boxers Karen Tonakanyan (60 kg) and Gor Nersesyan (81 kg), sambo wrestler Arsen Ghazaryan won bronze medals.
Arthur Avetisyan became the gold medalist of the 2019 Universiade.
Artur Aleksanyan (wrestling), Karapet Chalyan (wrestling) and Artur Davtyan (gymnastics) won an Olympic ticket.
