President of France Emmanuel Macron and Minister of Sport Roxana Maracineanu received the French women’s tennis team at Elysee Palace (the team scored the Fed Cup).
“You were in an excellent mood and strengthened the team’s contacts for the common victory,” Macron said.
Among the participants of the meeting Carolin Garcia, Kristina Mladenovic, Polin Parmantier, Fiona Fero, Alize Korne and the team’s senior player Julien Beneto.
During the final of the play-offs for the Fed Cup, the French team beat the Australian team 3-2.
