Armenia appoints new manager to head national football team

YEREVAN. – Executive committee of Armenia’s Football Federation unanimously approved the candidacy of Abraham Khashmanyan to serve as a manager of Armenia’s national football team.

Talking to reporters after the meeting, head of Armenia’s Football Federation Arthur Vanetsyan said the organization signed a 12-month contract with the head coach.

Ex-coach of Russia’s Tambov FC Alexander Grigoryan has been also rumored as a possible manager of Armenia team. However, some officials from the Armenian federation oppose his candidacy.
