NUR-SULTAN. — Head coach of the Armenian freestyle wrestling team Abetnak Kurginyan commented on the defeat of the European champion in 2018, 19-year-old Arsen Harutyunyan in the 1/8 finals.
“Arsen started well and defeated the Georgian fighter. In the 1/8 finals, he beat the Indian wrestler 6-0, but then something strange happened. The muscles of his arms and legs were numb. I think because of overwork,” he said.
Arsen Harutyunyan (57 kg) was defeated 17-6 in the 1/8 finals of the World Championship in freestyle wrestling held in Nur-Sultan. His rival was the Indian wrestler Ravi. Ravi lost to the Russian Uguyev, Harutyunyan lost the opportunity to compete for the bronze medal.
