Wrestling World Championships: Armenia’s Chalyan loses bronze medal match

NUR-SULTAN. – Karapet Chalyan of Armenia lost by a score of 6-9 to his Iranian opponent on Tuesday’s 77kg Greco-Roman bronze medal match at the 2019 Senior Wrestling World Championships in Nur-Sultan, the capital city of Kazakhstan.

To remind, Chalyan was beaten 2-5 by Sweden’s representative in the semifinals.

By advancing to the semifinals, however, Karapet Chalyan has qualified for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
