Leading member of the Armenian wrestling team Artur Aleksanyan made it to the quarter-final at the World Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship in Kazakhstan and will be competing with Iranian wrestler Saravi.
The favorite of the 97 kg category wrestlers competed with Turkish wrestler Cenk Ildem in the 1/8 final and beat him 4-2.
In the second match, the Olympic champion beat Finnish wrestler Kuosmanen and beat him 10-0. Aleksanyan’s next opponent will be Turkish wrestler Cenk Ildem.
In the qualifying stage, Artur Aleksanyan was defeated by Belarus’s representative Aleksandr Hrabovik 5-0.
