Հանդբոլի տղամարդկանց Ֆրանսիայի հավաքականը նվաճեց օլիմպիական չեմպիոնի տիտղոսը։ Եզրափակիչում ֆրանսիացիները 22։21 հաշվով պարտության մատնեցին շվեդներին։

Բրոնզե մեդալի համար խաղում Խորվաթիայի թիմը 33։26 հաշվով հաղթել էր Հունգարիային։
