Իտալացի Կարլո Մոլֆետան նվաճեց օլիմպիական չեմպիոնի տիտղոսը թաեքվոնդոյի +80 կգ քաշայինների պայքարում։ Եզրափակիչում Մոլֆետան պարտության մատնեց Գաբոնի ներկայացուցիչ Անտոնի Օբամեին։
