Ճապոնացի Ռիոտա Մուրատան նվաճեց օլիմպիական ոսկե մեդալը բռնցքամարտի 75 կգ քաշայինների պայքարում։ Եզրափակիչում նա պարտության մատնեց բրազիլացի Էսկիվա Ֆալկանա Ֆլորենտինուին։
