Նովեգացի թիավարող Էյրիկ Լարսենը նվաճեց 30-րդ Օլիմպիական խաղերի մեկտեղանի բայդարկայի 1000 մետրի չեմպիոնի տիտղոսը:

Կանադացի Ադամ վան Կովերդենը զբաղեցրեց երկրորդ տեղը, իսկ Գերմանիայի ներկայացուցիչ Մաքս Հոֆը բավարարվեց բրոնզե մեդալով:
