Ֆուտբոլի աշխարհի առաջնության կիսաեզրափակիչում Գերմանիայի հավաքականին 1:7 հաշվով պարտվելուց հետո Բրազիլիայի հավաքականի երկրպագուներն այրել են թիմի հարձակվող Նեյմարի մարզաշապիկը: Ռիո դե Ժանեյրոյի հայտնի Կոպակաբանա լողափում սկսվել են անկարգություններ:
