Հայաստանի հավաքականը երկրորդ պարտությունը կրեց Ռումինիայում անցկացվող հանդբոլի Եվրոպայի մինչեւ 18 տարեկանների առաջնության ընտրական մրցաշարում: Երկրորդ տուրում 8-րդ խմբում ընդգրկված Հայաստանի թիմը 57:11 հաշվով պարտվեց թուրքերին:

Մեկնարկային խաղում Հայաստանի հավաքականը 9:51 հաշվով պարտվել էր ռումինացիներին: Հայաստանի թիմը խմբում գրավեց վերջին՝ երրորդ տեղը:
