Տափօղակով հոկեյի կանանց ԱՄՆ-ի հավաքականը նվաճեց Իտալիայի Միլան եւ Կորտինա քաղաքներում անցկացվող 25-րդ ձմեռային օլիմպիական խաղերի չեմպիոնի տիտղոսը։

Եզրափակիչում ԱՄՆ-ի թիմը մրցեց կանադացիների հետ եւ առավելության հասավ 2:1 հաշվով օվերթայմում։
