Օլիմպիական խաղերի եւ աշխարհի կրկնակի չեմպիոն,  ձողացատկի աշխարհի ռեկորդակիր, շվեդ Արման Դյուպլանտիսը ճանաչվել է տարվա լավագույն մարզիկ BBC Sport Personality of the Year մրցանակաբաշխությունում։

Մրցանակին հավակնում էին նաեւ ամերիկացի մարմնամարզուհի Սիմոնա Բայլզը, ամերիկացի բասկետբոլիստուհի Քեյթլին Քլարկը, շվեյցարացի անվասայլակավազորդուհի Քեթրին Դեբրուները, հոլանդացի վազորդուհի Սիֆան Հասանը եւ ֆրանսիացի լողոր Լեոն Մարշանը։
