Ամերիկացի լողորդուհի Քեթի Լեդեկին դարձավ 9-ակի օլիմպիական չեմպիոն։ Փարիզի Օլիմպիական խաղերի ծրագրով լողի մրցաշարում 27-ամյա մարզուհին հաղթեց ազատ լողաոճով 800 մետր մրցատարածությունում՝ ցույց տալով 8.11,04 րոպե արդյունք։

Արծաթե մեդալը նվաճեց ավստրալացի Արիարնե Տիտմուսը՝ 8.12,29։

Բրոնզե մեդալակիրը ամերիկացի Փեյջ Մեդենն է՝ 8.13,00։

Փարիզի Խաղերում Քեթի Լեդեկին հաղթել էր նաեւ ազատ լողաոճով 1500 մետրում։
