Սերբ թենիսիստը պայքարը սկսել է երկրորդ շրջանից եւ 6:3, 6:3 հաշվով առավելության է հասել աշխարհի 85-րդ ռակետ, գերմանացի Յանիկ Հանֆմանի նկատմամբ։ Մրցախաղը տեւել է 2 ժամ եւ 15 րոպե։
Ջոկովիչը ծննդյան օրը տարել է 1100-րդ հաղթանակը ATP մրցաշարերում։ Մայիսի 22-ին նա նշել է 37-ամյակը։
