Իտալացի Յանիկ Սիները դուրս եկավ Մայամիի «Մասթերս» մրցաշարի կիսաեզրափակիչ։ Աշխարհի 11-րդ ռակետը մրցեց Ֆինլանդիայի ներկայացուցիչ Էմիլ Ռուուսուվուորիի հետ եւ առավելության հասավ երկու սեթում՝ 6:3, 6:1: Մրցախաղը տեւեց 1 ժամ եւ 14 րոպե։

Կիսաեզրափակիչում Յանիկ Սիների մրցակիցը կլինի իսպանացի Կառլոս Ալկարասի եւ ամերիկացի Թեյլոր Ֆրիցի դիմակայության հաղթողը։

Մայամիի «Մասթերսի» մրցանակային հիմնադրամը 8,8 միլիոն դոլար է։
