Նա խնդրել էր բացառություն անել իր համար եւ թույլ տալ կորոնավիրուսի դեմ չպատվաստված ժամանել ԱՄՆ, քանի որ չպատվաստվածների մուտքի արգելքը ԱՄՆ-ում վերացվելու է մայիսի 11-ին։
Ամերիկացի սենատոր Ռիկ Սքոթը թվիթերյան գրառումով հայտնել է, որ դիմել է ԱՄՆ նախագահ Ջո Բայդենին միջամտել եւ բացառություն անել Ջոկովիչի համար՝ հնարավորություն տալով մասնակցել Ինդիան Ուելսի եւ Մայամիի մրցաշարերին։
