Անգլիայի գավաթի խաղարկության 1/32 եզրափակիչում «Մանչեսթեր Յունայթեդն» ընդունեց «Աստոն Վիլային»։ Գերմանացի Ռալֆ Ռանգնիկի գլխավորած թիմն առավելության հասավ նվազագույն հաշվով։

Միակ գոլն արդեն 8-րդ րոպեին խփեց շոտլանդացի կիսապաշտպան Սքոթ Մաքթոմինայը։
