Եզրագիծը հատելուց հետո 27-ամյա մարզիկն ընկել է հատակին և տևական ժամանակ չի կարողացել ոտքի կանգնել: Նշվում է, որ պատճառն անտանելի շոգն է: Բլումենֆելին մրցուղուց հեռացրել են անվասայլակով, բայց նա կարողացել է մասնակցել պարգեւատրության արարողությանը:
