Deal with investigation fails for Juventus manager

17:42   1 August, 2012

The disciplinary committee of the Italian Football Federation did not agree to the plea bargain to disqualify the Italian champion Juventus manager 43-year-old Antonio Conte for three months. The Italian specialist has concluded a deal with the police and will pay €200,000 fine. It is due to the fact that he, being well informed that the second leg match between Siena and Novara was agreed already, as Conte was the manager of Siena in 2010/11 season, did not inform the police.

Moreover, Conte will not be able to be present at the club matches for the period. The Committee believes that Conte’s plea bargain with the investigation is not fair. The case will be reviewed, while Conte may be disqualified for a longer period, Football Italia reports.
