Armenia’s national football squad to play a friendly with Turkmenistan

YEREVAN. – The national football team of Armenia will play a friendly match against Turkmenistan’s national squad. The game will be held on March 22, 2013, in Armenia’s capital city Yerevan, Football Federation of Armenia’s (FFA) national teams’ department informed the FFA official website.     

The football federations of both countries have signed an agreement.

To note, Armenian and Turkmen national football teams had played another friendly on April 24, 2004, when Armenia defeated Turkmenistan by a score of 1-0. The only goal in the match was scored by Ara Hakobyan.  

Armenian national squad’s next friendly match is slated for August 15, when team manager Vardan Minasyan’s players will face the Belarusian national squad in Yerevan.
