Marca: “Mkhitaryan’s case” remains a puzzle
10:53 8 November, 2016Marca reflected on the current situation at Manchester United (England), with respect to club midfielder and Armenia national football squad captain and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
The prestigious Spanish newspaper recalled Mkhitaryan’s transfer value, and his impressive performance last season at Borussia Dortmund (Germany).
“Mkhitaryan’s absence [from the pitch in the Man United games] causes great discontent among the club fans. Instead, [team manager] José Mourinho stated that Mkhitaryan needs time to adapt to English football.
“Four months after the transfer, he [i.e. Mkhitaryan] spent a mere 133 minutes on the pitch [for the English club], in official games. ‘Mkhitaryan’s case’ remains a puzzle,” Marca wrote, in particular.
To note, Henrikh Mkhitaryan has joined the Armenian national squad for their upcoming 2018 World Cup qualifier against Montenegro. The match will be played on Friday in Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia.
