European Chess Union: With chess, Armenia will begin new phase of global education (PHOTOS)

TSAGHKADZOR. – The second international conference, which is devoted to the key theoretical and practical issues of chess education in schools, has kicked off in Tsaghkadzor, Armenia.
The event has brought together representatives from twenty countries.
European Chess Union President Zurab Azmaiparashvili, Minister of Education and Science of Armenia Levon Mkrtchyan, and rectors and representatives of universities from various countries are also attending this conference.
“I personally consider that Armenia is the beginning of new civilizations,” Azmaiparashvili said, in particular, at the event. “And I believe that, with chess, Armenia will begin a new phase of global education.”
