Armenia’s Margaryan becomes European junior champion

Karen Margaryan (Armenia) won gold medal at the U15 & U17 European Weightlifting Championships that are held in Nowy Tomyśl, Poland.

Margaryan lifted a combined weight of 280 kg (130 kg in the Snatch and 150 kg in the Clean & Jerk) in the Boys’ U15 77 kg competition, and also broke the European records in his age group.

In addition, Liana Gyurjyan (Armenia) became a bronze medalist in the Girls’ U15 63 kg division.
