Andriy Shevchenko undergoes a surgery

Ukraine and Dynamo Kyiv striker Andriy Shevchenko underwent a surgery in Milan, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports.

Shevchenko got a knee injury in Ukraine v France second round match of the Euro 2012 group stage. Due to an injury he could not appear in the next match which Ukraine lost to England 0-1.

The doctors say he will be able to continue his football career.
