Mkhitaryan hopes to play in Armenia’s 2018 World Cup qualifier against Denmark

After Wednesday’s friendly against the Czech Republic, Armenian national football squad captain and midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan approached the fans near the stadium, and signed autographs.

The First Armenian Front (FAF) football supporters asked the Manchester United (England) newcomer whether he would be able to play in Armenia’s next match, which is against Denmark.

“I hope so,” Mkhitaryan responded.

In the aforesaid friendly that was played in Mladá Boleslav, Czech Republic, Armenia were defeated by the host nation by a score of 0-3. And Mkhitaryan was subbed off in the 38th minute due to an injury.

The Armenian national team will now head for the Danish capital city of Copenhagen, where they will play their 2018 International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) World Cup qualifier opener against Denmark, on Sunday.
