Mourinho: Mkhitaryan is great player

In an interview with the press service of Manchester United, the English football club’s Portuguese manager José Mourinho spoke also about Armenia national football squad captain and Borussia Dortmund (BVB; Germany) midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

In the interview, Mourinho said they have acquired Mkhitaryan, who was recognized the German Bundesliga’s best player, and by the voting of his fellow players. As per Mourinho, this says a lot, and Mkhitaryan is a great player.

According to the Manchester United boss, even though the Armenian international is not a forward, the number of goals he scored last season is really impressive.

Mourinho added that the number of Mkhitaryan’s assists shows that he is creative, he shows a team perception and understanding of the game, and he can accelerate the pace of the game.

Dortmund have formally announced about the 27-year-old Armenia international parting ways with the German club.

According to unofficial data, Man United are waiting for the issuance of a UK work permit for Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
