Euro 2016: “Team” of major disappointments
14:14 24 June, 2016Based on the results of the group stage that wrapped up in the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) Euro 2016 which France is hosting, Squawka.com has presented its choice for the team comprising players who did not meet expectations in this tournament.
This “team” consist of David Alaba (Austria), Zlatan Ibrahimović (Sweden), David de Gea (Spain), Robert Lewandowski (Poland), Aleksandr Kokorin (Russia), Arda Turan (Turkey), Harry Kane (England), Marko Arnautović (Austria), Andriy Yarmolenko (Ukraine), Haris Seferović (Switzerland), and Aleksandar Dragović (Austria).
Sixteen of the 24 nations are still in contention for the coveted Euro 2016 Cup.
The Round of 16 fixtures are as follows: Switzerland vs. Poland, Wales vs. Northern Ireland, Croatia vs. Portugal, France vs. Ireland, Germany vs. Slovakia, Hungary vs. Belgium, Italy vs. Spain, and England vs. Iceland.
The knockout stage will kick off on Saturday.
