Euro 2016: Wales beats Slovakia 2-1

The National squads of Wales and Slovakia, which made their debut at European Championships, met in the first round of Euro 2016 (Group B) held in France.

The Welsh team won with the score of 2-1.

Both teams started the match actively. Just four minutes into the encounter, captain of the Slovakian team, Marek Hamsik, had a chance to open the score, but couldn’t net a goal from a fantastic position.

The Welsh gained an advantage in the 10th minute thanks to the accurate kick of the Welsh midfielder of Real Madrid, Gareth Bale.

During the second half, the teams exchanged a couple of dangerous moments. In the 61st minute, Slovakia substitute Ondrej Duda leveled the scoreline.

Forward Robson-Kanu hit the winner in the 81st minute

In another Group B match, Russia will play against England.
