Paris Grand Chess Tour. Nakamura wins, Aronian comes 6th

The first rapid chess stage of Paris Grand Chess Tour ended with the victory of American grandmaster Hikaru Nakamura. The latter scored 14 out of 18 points, moving to the first place. Norwegian World Chess Champion Magnus Carlsen preceded him by one point.

Levon Aronian came sixth with nine points. The Armenian chess leader beat French Laurent Fressinet, American Fabiano Caruana and Bulgarian Veselin Topalov, playing draw with Dutch Anish Giri, Maxime Vachier-Lagrave and Russian Vladimir Kramkin. He lost to Magnus Carlsen, Wesley So and Hikaru Nakamura.

The blitz tournament will be held in two rounds on June 11 and 12.
