Armenia’s Aronian plays chess with former Real Madrid midfielder

Spanish midfielder Esteban Granero, who plays at Real Sociedad and used to play at Real Madrid C.F., faced Grandmaster Levon Aronian in a game of chess.

And Aronian, who plays first board for the three-time World Chess Olympiad champions and the former World Team Chess champions Armenia, posted a photograph of this “match” on his Twitter account and tweeted: “A fun evening with my new chess coach Esteban Granero!”
