Zinedine Zidane turns 40 (VIDEO)

World football legend Zinedine Zidane (Zizou) celebrates his 40th birthday on Saturday. 
Throughout his 18-year career as a player, the French midfielder played more than 600 games and scored 126 goals.   

Zizou played for Cannes, Bordeaux, Juventus, and Real Madrid.

Between 1994 and 2006, he played 108 games for the French national team and scored 31 goals.
He was crowned Italy’s champion twice, and he won the Spanish championship and the Champions League.

As part of the French national squad, Zidane became world champion in 1998 and European champion in 2000.

The legendary Frenchman was declared FIFA World Player of the Year for 1998, 2000 and 2003.
He won the Golden Ball in the 1997-1998 Season and was crowned the best player in the UEFA Champions League’s 2001-2002 season.  

Zinedine Zidane currently holds the post of Real Madrid Director of Football.
