Two footballers quit Greek national squad

ATHENS. – Greek national football team’s forward Nikos Liberopoulos, 36, and goalkeeper Kostas Chalkias, 38, announced of their retirement from the national squad.     

The Greek football’s veterans informed of their decision after Greece’s defeat by Germany in the Euro 2012 quarterfinals. 

But they will continue playing for their clubs. 

And the Greek team’s halfback Konstantinos Katsouranis, 32, likewise is considering quitting the national squad, Contra.gr informs.
