London Chess Classic: Armenia’s Aronian draws in Round 6

00:08   11 December, 2015

Grandmaster (GM) Levon Aronian played a draw in Thursday’s sixth round of the 2015 London Chess Classic super tournament, which is the final leg in the Grand Chess Tour.

Aronian - who plays first board for the three-time World Chess Olympiad champions and the former World Team Chess champions Armenia - faced GM Hikaru Nakamura (USA) in this round.

Levon Aronian has played draws in the previous five rounds, too, and has tallied 3 points so far.

In Friday’s Round 7, he will play against GM Veselin Topalov (Bulgaria).

Nine rounds will be played in the 2015 London Chess Classic.

If the tournament leaders garner the same amount of points, a tiebreak will be played on December 14.
