Yerevan football club invites 3 Kenyan players to tryouts

Three Kenyan Premier League football players have received an invite to try out at FC Banants (Yerevan, Armenia), reported Goal.com.

But due to a visa hitch, Thomas Wanyama, Jackson Saleh, and Timonah Wanyonyi could miss out on these trials for two weeks starting this weekend.

The process has hit a snag because of the unavailability of an Armenian Embassy or Consulate in Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya.

So, the players need to send their passports over to the Armenian Embassy in Cairo, the capital city of Egypt, which is the closest.

But the respective process will take at least two weeks, and therefore they will not be able to make it to these tryouts.

The players’ representative is negotiating with Banants to move the trials to December.
