Assistant to Armenian national’s manger Raymond Verheijen considers the reason for failure of the Russian team was not being physically unfit for the match, there were other problems.

He said Polish team’s goal was the crucial moment in Russia’s last Group A match. After scoring a goal, Poland started to pay more attention to defense leaving no space for attack.

“The same happened in the match against Greece. Russia stopped to create goal chances when Greeks closed down,” he said.

The Russian players had to spare too much energy. Playing in this way against defending teams, Russia in fact committed a suicide, Russian  чемпионат.com quotes Verheijen.
