Armenia’s Aronian draws with Azerbaijani opponent

Armenian Grandmaster (GM) Levon Aronian played a draw against Azerbaijan’s GM Teimour Radjabov in penultimate Round 8 of the tournament being held in Moscow, and in memory of the eighth World Chess Champion, Mikhail Tal.

The match ended after the 46th move, and Aronian has tallied 3.5 points so far.

In the final round, Armenian national team’s first seed will play against Italy’s GM Fabiano Caruana, who currently is the tournament leader.
