Suren Mkrtchtyan is appointed Russia football club general manager
14:29 25 August, 2015Suren Mkrtchyan, a former member of the Board of Directors of FC Kuban (Russia), has been appointed General Manager of FC Torpedo Armavir (Russia).
“I accepted the offer by the Torpedo Armavir shareholders with pleasure,” the club website quotes Mkrtchyan as saying. “This team is from my hometown and krai [i.e. region].
“That is why it is a great honor and responsibility for me to start working in our club.”
Torpedo Armavir are playing for the first time in the Russian National Football League, which is the second level of Russian professional football.
The team manager is Russian football legend Valeri Karpin.
