Armenia national football squad and FC Volga Nizhny Novgorod forward Arthur Sarkisov, who had broken his wrist during Volga’s Russian National Football League match against FC Torpedo Armavir, underwent surgery in Moscow.

The Armenia international will return to his club in the coming days, and start his recovery phase under medical supervision.

He is expected to return to the pitch in October.

The first question that Sarkisov had given after his surgery was whether he was called to the Armenian national team, his brother wrote on a social networking website.

And Arthur Sarkisov was very sad to hear that he was not called up, and therefore he cannot be of help to Armenia in their Euro 2016 qualifiers against Serbia, on September 4, and Denmark, on September 7.
