Platini: UEFA can pull out of FIFA
19:07 28 May, 2015UEFA President Michel Platini said his organization may break ties with FIFA if Joseph Blatter is elected, BBC reported.
“If Mr Blatter is the president, Uefa will meet in Berlin to discuss the future of our relations with Fifa. Could Uefa pull out of Fifa? Of course,” he said during a media conference on Thursday.
As reported earlier, 14 FIFA officials were arrested in Zurich where the elections have to take place. Incumbent president Joseph Blatter and Prince of Jordan Ali bin al Hussein will participate in the elections. Earlier UEFA called to postpone elections that are planned for May 29.
