Ronda Rousey: I love Armenian people and I’m very glad to be in Armenia

The famous American female athlete, actress, UFC and MMA Champion Ronda Rousey arrived in Armenia Friday evening.  In the VIP Lounge of Zvartnots Airport, Ronda Rousey was welcomed by the Armenian Boxing Federation President Artur Gevorgyan, as well as a number of fans who were waiting for her with large bouquets.  

“I’m glad I’m in Armenia. I know a lot about Armenia. I know that in 1915 Armenian Genocide took place, and that this year marks the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. This is my first visit to Armenia. It’s great I’m here,” said Ronda Rousey, adding in Armenian: “I love the Armenian people very much and I’m very glad I’ve come to Armenia.

”Besides being a famous athlete, Ronda Rousey is also a famous actress. She has played in the films The expendables 3 and Furious 7. Besides, she is the representative of the Los Angeles team “Armenia.” In 2014 she won the title “Best Female Athlete.” Ronda is often referred to as “the invincible Ronda Rousey”. 

On April 23, 13:00, Ronda Rousey will participate in an exhibition training with the Armenian national team in the Dinamo sports stadium.
