Armenia wins gold and silver in Germany
14:05 23 March, 2015YEREVAN. – Armenia’s boxers have won their first gold medal for this season.
Two female athletes, 2014 World Champion Anush Grigoryan and Ani Hovsepyan, represented the country in an international boxing tournament that was held in Germany.
At the event, Grigoryan defeated her Swedish opponent in the final of the 51 kg competition, and became the champion in this weight class.
Hovsepyan, on the other hand, lost to her seasoned Italian challenger in the final of the 57 kg bout, and therefore had to settle for the silver medal in this weight category, informed the Boxing Federation of Armenia.
