China aims to host World Cup

The President of China, Xi Jinping, wants to organize a World Cup in his country to promote the development of Chinese football and the national league, ESPN reported.

Ever since 2009, a major fight is underway in China against match-fixing and illegal betting.

It is planned to create a competitive football league, which will help strengthen the Chinese national squad.
