FIFA: Armenia drop 5 places

The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) on Thursday issued its new World Ranking.

Accordingly, the Armenian national squad have fallen five spots and are 79th in the new ranking.

To note, the squad’s former 30th ranking was record-breaking for the country.

2014 FIFA World Cup champions Germany continue to top the FIFA World Ranking. They are still followed by World Cup runners-up Argentina, and Colombia, respectively.

Armenia’s Euro 2016 qualifier opponents Portugal, Denmark, Serbia and Albania are ranked 7th, 28th, 40th and 61st, respectively.

On March 29, the Armenian national team will face Albania in a Euro 2016 qualification away match.
