UN calls on FIFA to lift hijab ban

UN called on FIFA to allow Muslim women play football wearing hijab.

In a letter addressed to FIFA boss Sepp Blatter, the UN representatives said women must get equal opportunities to play football.

FIFA member Prince Ali of Jordan who is opposing the ban to wear hijab intends to raise the question during the meeting of FIFA legal committee.
