Baden-Baden: Aronian places 5th

The Round 7—and final—matches were played Monday in the chess super tournament being held in Baden-Baden, Germany.

In the last round, Grandmaster (GM) Levon Aronian—who is currently ninth in the World Chess Federation (FIDE) rankings and who plays first board for the three-time World Chess Olympiad champions and the former World Team Chess champions, Armenia—played a draw with GM Arkadij Naiditsch (Germany).

As a result, Aronian finished the competition in fifth place with 3.5 points.
