Armenia’s n Lilit Mkrtchyan nears leaders
17:55 2 June, 2012Armenian chess player Lilit Mkrtchyan defeated Ukrainian Mariya Muzychuk in the 7th round of the Women’s World Rapid and Blitz in Batumi, while Elina Danielyan was defeated by Azerbaijani Gulnar Mammadova.
Mkrtchyan shares the 8th place with 4.5 points with six other players, while Danielyan shares the 37th place with 2.5 points with nine participants.
The first place is shared among Indian Humpy Koneru, Bulgarian Antoaneta Stefanova and Ukrainian Kateryna Lahno with 5.5 points each.
The championship features 50 participants.
