Chess news on Armenian players

YEREVAN. – Grandmaster (GM) Karen Movsziszian (Armenia) has scored 3.5 points after five rounds in the World Senior Chess Championship that is being held in Katerini, Greece. Movsziszian is one point behind the current leader, GM John Nunn (England), Armchess reported.

GMs Hrant Melkumyan and Robert Hovhannisyan (Armenia), on the other hand, have scored 3.5 points each after four rounds at the international open that is being held in Bad Wiessee, Germany. They are half a point behind the current ten leaders of the tournament.
